About The Founder

Smart Flex Tutoring Services was started by Cha’ron Johnson in the fall of 2024.  Cha’ron is an educator with over 23 years of experience in the field of education. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Fisk University, her Masters Degree in Education from Tennessee State University, and was accepted into a Doctoral Program at Howard University where she completed one full year of African Studies.  She also took courses in Elementary education at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville,TN.

Cha’ron started out teaching as an assistant teacher in a pre-k 4 classroom while earning her Bachelors degree. Since then, she has taught grades pre-k -5th grade in Nashville Metropolitan Schools, Prince George’s County Public Schools, A DC private School, and a few early childhood learning centers.  She also worked as a school data collector, early childhood teacher assessor for DC public schools, a site-director for after-school programs, and elementary  school tutor. Within PG. ounty public schools and  other tutoring organizations.  Cha’ron is a homeschooling mother of five who currently resides in Columbia, MD with her husband and children.

Smart Flex Tutoring Services was started after Cha’ron spent two years tutoring at Total Tutoring Services and Calverton Elementary School in Prince George’s County Maryland.  She enjoyed having the opportunity to work with children outside of the traditional classroom setting and noticed the  positive impact her sessions were having on student’s overalll academic success.  Parents and colleagues seemed to be equally satisfied and impressed. This sparked Cha’ron to venture out on her own and start Smart Flex Tutoring Services. As Smart Flex Tutoring Services continues to grow, it is her hope that student’s confidence, overall academic success, and love for learning will increase as a result of the tutoring services provided by Smart Flex Tutoring Services..
